Our purpose is to ensure strategic people decisions at GSK are driven by facts. The team applies advanced analytical techniques to provide data driven insights on what really matters to employees and which human capital investments really drive business results. The team sits within the HR organization, in a dynamic, evolving environment. Job purpose: In this role, you will join a small, interdisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Analysts and Data Engineers, working alongside Business Consultants to lead our digital transformation and tackle our most impactful business challenges. You will be responsible for assessing the latest external research and translating these into solutions for GSK. You will conduct research using a variety of data types, study designs, and analysis strategies to anticipate, understand and improve workforce performance and influence change The work you do will transform GSK, to drive better business choices, make HR a competitive advantage for GSK and secure better health outcomes for those who depend upon our medicines and innovation.  Key Responsibilities Translate business and strategic priorities into PDA research proposals. Examples could include: Do we have the right kind of skills in the organisation, and how can we identify gaps? What could adapting to hybrid work mean for the organisation, considering how many different role types we have in our company? How could we evaluate if the organisational structure is appropriate for the intended operating model of a function? Apply social science/interpersonal behavior/psychological principles and research methods to seek problems that improve workforce performance and inspire change Generate credible and logical hypotheses and design experiments to test relevant research questions Design and execute primary data collection activities Conduct analyses using different techniques (e.g., psychometric, longitudinal, multilevel modelling, A/B testing, inferential statistics, etc) Build standardized, scalable methodological approaches, tools, and processes Engage with key partners and SMEs and collaborate closely with academic partners/3rd parties in the co-development of deliverables that resonate with and meet senior leadership needs Communicate research findings and recommendations in the form of technical & non-technical reports, presentations, input into HRLT/Board white papers, and works closely with other Centre of Excellence SME's (talent, I&D, People Effectiveness, Organizational Effectiveness) Work with PDA development teams to translate research findings into analytics solutions Sets clear boundaries of what's legally and ethically acceptable to not damage the employee experience and company reputation Basic Qualifications MSc or equivalent demonstrable experience running research projects Understanding of big data technologies and infrastructure. Demonstrated ability in the design and carrying out qualitative and quantitative research projects using social science/org behavior/psychological or data science principles Sophisticated understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods Preferably some experience of data analysis and software such as SPSS, Excel, R, Python, Stata. Expertise in inferential statistical methods including multiple regression, ANOVA, correlations, factor analysis, ASLM. Strong understanding of validity, reliability, and agreed-upon professional benchmarks for statistical data interpretation. Ability to generate credible and logical hypotheses and design experiments, as well as behaviour change interventions, to test relevant research questions Ability to translate sophisticated statistical results into language that a non-expert can understand Skill in developing stories or narrative descriptions from research that are meaningful Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a similar role focused on People Data Why GSK?
