Support Worker – Supported Living

Male applicants only

Location: Nottingham
Pay: £13.20 per hour
Contract: Full‑time – 37.5 hours per week

Fitz Roy Supported Living in Nottingham provides care and support for adults aged between 35 and 60 with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Some of the people we support also have physical disabilities. Our established team of 22 staff currently supports four individuals, and we are now looking for quick‑thinking, solution‑focused male Support Workers to join our friendly team.

The Role

As a Support Worker, your role will be varied and rewarding. You will provide person‑centred care and support tailored to individual needs, helping people to achieve their goals and maintain choice and control over their lives.

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, including playing Xbox, model making, darts, colouring, arts and crafts, swimming, walks, cinema trips, garden centres, and pub meals — no two days are the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care and daily living support
Supporting people to access activities and the local community
Working with individuals to identify and achieve personal goals
Promoting a healthy, balanced, and fulfilling lifestyle
Responding calmly and confidently to challenging situations

Experience supporting people with challenging behaviour or forensic histories would be beneficial, but is not essential as full training is provided.

Shifts & Working Pattern
Shifts between 08:00 and 22:00 Day and evening shifts
Alternate weekends required
Some sleep‑ins required
Good local transport links to the service

Essential Requirements
Full UK manual driving licence – essential
