Your new role
As a Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the on-site operational management of a major highway and civil engineering scheme, supporting the Project Manager to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day construction operations on site
Supporting the Project Manager with operational planning and delivery
Ensuring SHEQ standards and safe systems of work are maintained at all times
Interpreting design information and implementing works in line with specifications
Managing and directing sub agents, subcontractors, labour and plant
Developing construction programmes, phasing plans and method statements
Ensuring activity plans, permits and method statements are in place prior to worksmencing
Liaising with stakeholders and acting as a key point of contact for site‑related queries
Working closely with themercial team on cost reporting andpensation events
Coordinating procurement of materials and efficient use of resources
Maintaining accurate site records, including diaries, quality documentation and as‑built information
What you'll need to succeed
A Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent
Valid CSCS card
SMSTS certification
Full UK or EEC driving licence
Proven experience managing civil engineering or highways works on site
Strong understanding of health, safety and environmentalpliance within construction
Ability to manage programmes, resources and subcontractors effectively
