A well-established and forward-thinking law firm is seeking an experienced Wills & Probate Associate Solicitor to join its growing Private Client team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor or legal executive with strong technical expertise to handle a broad caseload of private client matters while contributing to the development of a collaborative and high-performing team.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of wills, probate, and estate planning matters, providing high-quality legal advice to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities
Drafting simple and complex wills, including those involving trusts, business, and agricultural assets
Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) for property & financial affairs and health & welfare
Advising on estate planning and inheritance tax mitigation strategies
Handling estate administration, including probate applications and distribution of assets
Managing inheritance tax, income tax, and capital gains tax compliance
Setting up and administering trusts, including drafting deeds of appointment
Advising on Deeds of Variation and post-death tax planning
Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering excellent client care
Supervising and supporting junior team members where appropriate
Contributing to business development and networking activities Requirements
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or Legal Executive
Minimum 4 years’ PQE / equivalent experience in private client work
Strong experience in wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration
Knowledge of inheritance tax planning and relevant legislation
Excellent communication and client-care skills
Ability to manage a caseload independently
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Desirable:

STEP qualification or working towards
