The Membership Content Manager (Wellness) will support the membership programmes across Men’s Health, Women’s Health and Runner’s World, with a primary focus on producing the weekly membership newsletters and publishing content for each brand, and being a gatekeeper for their private social accounts. Working with the core brands’ membership stakeholders, the Membership Content Manager will help nurture and retain each brand’s audience, correspond directly with member inquiries, and promote a consistent, positive and authoritative tone of voice throughout all communications. Daily engagement with the brands respective Editor-In-Chiefs is imperative to discuss new membership content, messages and events, plus how these will be communicated via the membership newsletter and private social accounts. Other key relationships are: Social Media Managers - regular communication with the personnel behind each brand’s BAU social accounts is necessary to ensure that posts dovetail and content works in tandem. Digital Design Editor, Wellness – a good, hand-in-glove working relationship between these two roles is essential to ensure the best possible membership newsletter and social output CRM team – frequent engagement with the CRM team to learn as much as possible from data on top performing newsletter articles, open rates, plus general performance Key responsibilities: To liaise with the membership teams on each brand, generate ideas, discuss weekly membership output and how this informs newsletter content. To build the weekly membership newsletters in conjunction with the Digital Designer, Wellness, and to write/create content as and where appropriate. Build and publish content created by the respective brands’ content creators. Management of each brand’s membership social accounts, ensuring that required imagery and captions are in place. Overseeing the technical elements of ‘live’ membership events on the relevant social media platform – ensuring they start properly, monitoring comments, taking time-stamping notes when required, overseeing the upload to IGTV and editing the display copy.  Attend shoots and fitness events on occasion to capture content for the membership sites and social media accounts. Be brand point of contact for CRM, project manager and marketing teams regarding all newsletter and social content. Play a pivotal role in building a reputation for Hearst as a trailblazer in the membership space. To be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values. You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time. EXPERIENCE AND CORE SKILLS A fitness and wellness enthusiast as well as a skilled and experienced content creator, the successful candidate will be familiar with both the fitness industry and the wellness community at large A writer with experience of publishing/editing across multiple platforms, he/she will need to be adept at writing sharp, authoritative, knowledgeable, pithy and witty content, nailing each brand’s tone in the process A proven track record of producing newsletters and managing social accounts, ideally for a large media brand, is preferable. Visually literate as well as a good verbal communicator, a strong creative eye is essential The candidate must be a pro-active, self-starting individual, able to motivate his/herself on a daily basis, quick yet thorough, and willing to take the initiative in pressured situations Experience of operating a CMS is essential – Selligent, in particular, is preferable.
