We're incredibly proud to be recognised as one of the top 5 best places to work in the UK for two years running, as per Glassdoor's Employees' Choice Award.Job DescriptionAbout the roleAs a Senior Editor and Copywriter at Abcam, you will be a key member of our Content Marketing team, providing audiences with persuasive and creative content and copy that inspired audiences to act, while continually ensuring accuracy and credibility.This role is suited to someone who is passionate about communicating to life science academic researchers and industry professionals. You will have extensive experience in developing marketing materials, messaging and copy for a range of platforms, editing work produced by others, and developing messaging and guidelines for content and copy development.You will be skilled at identifying and communicating the strengths and weaknesses of copy and content, guiding and editing work produced by other writers, managing their development as well as providing feedback that inspires.Roles & Responsibilities:Develop and commission valuable and persuasive marketing materials for life science and academic life science audiencesReview and edit materials generated by writers internally and externally to ensure consistent language, narrative and messagingDevelop and maintain guidelines for content development such as tone and languageCoordinate inputs from the wider marketing team to craft marketing messaging, ensuring this is consistently and accurately weaved in through our marketing communicationsAnalyze and report on performance of content and copy, using information to improve future work, develop trials to test messaging, style and content types with customersQualificationsYou are a skillful copywriter and content manager with an excellent track record for planning and creating persuasive copy and content for a technical audience. Along with creative flair, a keen eye for detail is essential and you will strive for accuracy and precision in all your work.Proficiency at reviewing and editing work produced by others is essential to ensure tone, language and messaging is consistent across materials. You will have the ability and confidence to develop guidelines for content and copy development and establish training and review programs to ensure they are consistently followed. You will have experience developing messaging and narratives to use across content and other marketing activities.You should be someone who takes initiative and is results oriented. You will need good analytical ability and experience of using tools such as Google Analytics to report on performance. A working knowledge of search engine optimization is also essential.A life sciences or pharma background or proven scientific or technical literacy is desirable but no essential.Additional InformationWe know that when it comes to benefits, no one size fits all.     Cambridge ( KAYM-brij) is a university city and the county town of Cambridgeshire, England, on the River Cam approximately 55 miles (89 km) north of London. At the United Kingdom Census 2011, the population of the Cambridge built-up area (which is larger than the remit of Cambridge City Council) was 158,434 including 29,327 students.
