Responsibilities
We’re looking for a Learning & Development Advisor with prior L&D experience who enjoys running learning activity end to end and delivering training that works in practice.
This role has a strong administrative backbone, alongside hands‑on training delivery and development support. You’ll be expected to already understand how learning and development operates day to day, and to work confidently with stakeholders from entry‑level staff to highly experienced professionals.
Experience in healthcare is welcome, but we’re particularly interested in candidates who bring commercial experience and fresh thinking from outside the healthcare sector.
Coordinating and administering learning and development activity end to end
Managing training bookings, records, and compliance tracking
Delivering induction and internal training sessions
Facilitating learning for mixed‑ability and mixed‑seniority groups
Supporting managers with practical development and coaching
Turning development needs into clear, deliverable learning activity
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience working in a learning and development or training role
Organised, detail‑focused, and comfortable owning learning delivery
Confident delivering training and working with varied audiences
Bring a commercial, practical mindset to L&D
Enjoy improving how learning is delivered, not just maintaining processes
Additional Information
We do things differently at Penrose Health – rather than a cover letter, we ask that you answer three short questions about your experience in practice – this helps us better understand how you approach real‑life examples.
