As a result, we are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join the Central Analytics team. Reporting to the Business Analytics Manager, in this varied role you will use data and analysis to inform, influence and ultimately drive the organisation in the right direction. To thrive in this position, you will need to have experience of using data to tell a story and influence decision making, and a passion for developing world class sustainable data solutions. You will need to be comfortable working with multiple sources of structured and unstructured data, and autonomously developing whole end-to-end solutions, from gathering requirements to presenting findings and recommendations. Key Duties And Responsibilities Ownership and development of 3 existing monthly KPI reporting processes Proactive analysis of underlying KPI data to highlight performance gaps and insights Chairing regular KPI analysis review meetings with plant directors and teams Work with the Business Analytics Manager on major projects and taskforces requiring analytical support Support the Business Analytics Manager on a program of data and KPI mapping and improvement across GQO Recommend and develop appropriate KPI’s, metrics, dashboards and scorecards in partnership with the Business Analytics Manager and the wider GQO teams Promote the use of data and analytics across GQO and become a go to subject matter expert within this field Principal Contacts Continuous improvement teams, both global and within manufacturing facilities Analytics teams across GQO and Convatec, particularly within Quality Quality organisation, particularly Post Market Surveillance Quality Engineers Project and leadership teams across GQO, particularly Smart Factory Global Engineering Function Travel Requirements Occasional Travel Language Skills Required Speaking: English Writing/Reading: English Spanish, Slovakian, Danish or Dutch would also be useful in this role. About You Key competencies: Degree in business, analytics, data science, finance, or related fields Three years’ experience in data analysis and the ability to use it to tell a story and inform decisions Minimum of one year of experience in one of the following: Power BI, Data Science (Python, R, Machine Learning), Smart Factory/Industry 4.0 implementation (Predictive Analytics, Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT)) Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite with a minimum of intermediate Excel (Pivot tables, Conditional Formatting, Slicers) Able to derive insights from high level requirements using varied data sources Experience in developing, owning and continuously improving data and reporting processes Inquisitive and a desire to show how data can make a difference Can demonstrate the ability to continually learn new tools and techniques An organised individual who can effectively prioritise their own workload and execute tasks Able to communicate effectively using different mediums and channels across all levels of the organisation Desirable: Experience in Quality related analytics Understanding of databases and data architecture Working Conditions This position could be home-based or Hybrid Office Environment at a Convatec location.     Deeside (Welsh: Glannau Dyfrdwy) is the name given to a predominantly industrial conurbation of towns and villages in Flintshire and Cheshire on the Wales–England border lying near the canalised stretch of the River Dee that flows from neighbouring Chester into the Dee Estuary. The biggest employment area in Deeside is Deeside Industrial Park, located on the north bank of the Dee on the southern edge of the Wirral peninsula, which has both historical and contemporary significance, and provides Deeside and the surrounding area with jobs in many different industries from construction to food production. Deeside is also home to steel manufacturer Tata Steel and Toyota's highly advanced engine manufacturing plant.
