We’re on the hunt for brilliant new Senior Care Assistants!

This is a great opportunity for a senior care assistant to join our client’s very well respected and ‘GOOD’ CQC rated residential care home.

Our client’s home is a contemporary residential care home set in modern and comfortable surroundings, located at the centre of the Halifax community. Meticulously finished to a very high standard, the home offers first class residential and dementia care for up to 55 residents, in a light, spacious and elegant setting.

There dedicated service, combined with the care homes modern environment and facilities, allows the residents to live a full, rich and meaningful life in the company of supportive, like-minded people.

The dedicated senior care assistants take the time to get to know each individual and work with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure their care needs are continually met. They pride themselves in dementia care and our care provider offers on-going training to ensure their approach is best for customers living with dementia.

As a Senior Care Assistant your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants. You can also expect to be responsible for providing the residents with their assessments, care plans or care reviews. Senior Care Assistants show warmth and support to the elderly residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.

Senior care assistant’s with NVQ level 3 health and social care are desirable, but, experienced and qualified care assistants will be consider and are encouraged to apply! Full training will be provided.

Main duties for senior care assistants are as follows:

* To Supervise and participate in the delivery of care to residents

* Develop, review and update care plans to meet our clients changing physical, social and psychological needs

* Medication Administration and Medical assistance/standards alongside the nurses

* To provide leadership and support to the care assistants

* Ensure that all supervision, appraisal and performance management of the care team are carried out, supporting them to achieve their potential.

Care Hour/shifts:

Permanent, full time

Rate of Pay:

£11.86 per hour
