We have recently acquired a service in Redhill and are looking for new support workers to join an established team who share a passion for making a difference to the people we support in whatever way we can.The site where you would be working is on a brand-new housing estate with new build homes and flats, that the people we support live in. It is based in a beautiful part of Redhill, overseeing the peaceful North Downs.At our new Redhill service, we are looking for calm, patient, and resilient Support Workers who will take the time to get to know the people we support and will be able take a calm and consistent approach towards motivating them to engage in the activities they like and enjoy. You can expect to support with a range of daily living tasks which can involve personal care, laundry, meal preparation and medication administration.As a Support Worker some of the aspects of your role will be include: Support the users of our services in: Providing personal, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical supportDeveloping their everyday living skills, for example, cooking meals, cleaning, shopping, and travelingLearning how to use money and other house-hold financial management skills, enabling them the security of their tenancyUsing equipment, such as microwaves and other household equipmentTaking part in social and leisure activitiesEnsuring the welfare and safety of the people we supportOther aspects of your role include: Assist in the writing of reports and attend reviews where appropriateAdminister medication where necessaryAct as an advocate where appropriateContribute to team meetings and forumsYou will be given dedicated time to carry out the administrative tasks of this role.We are also happy to accept applications from candidates who have never worked as a support worker but are able to demonstrate the care and values to support our service users.We are also happy to accept applications from candidates who would like to be considered for part time roles.This is not an exhaustive list, and further task will be required commensurate with the roleProtecting our workforce and users of our services To comply with the law, SeeAbility requires all team members to be fully vaccinated.
