To maintain this digital growth, we must continue to improve how we engage our valuable specialist audiences online.   As part of FT Specialist, The Banker is multichannel with a well-established and successful print edition, as well as video, podcast and database content (drawn from a unique industry-leading database). With a strategy of growing corporate subscriptions and web traffic, we are expanding our online resources.   We are looking for a versatile and creative digital content editor who has both the technical knowledge to present data, photos and written content attractively on the website, as well as sufficient industry knowledge to be able to make editorial decisions about story leads and placement.    The successful candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing websites and making daily changes, as well as create new online-only content. We are looking for someone to play a full part in helping drive our future digital capabilities, so you should have a keen interest in digital media and a willingness to learn new skills.   Key Responsibilities   Oversee the website and make daily editorial decisions Create unique content on a weekly basis Use data and analytics to make informed content decisions Help to develop the digital strategy and lead on website design Manage newsletters, social media and other digital channels Identify and implement new content initiatives and platforms Assist the online production process when necessary.   Required Skills / Experience    Have a broad knowledge of the banking industry Sound editorial judgement and excellent attention to detail in every aspect of work Proven record of quality work with websites (including from a technological standpoint) and content management systems Ability to multi-task, prioritise and effectively manage a heavy workload Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all departments including sales, marketing, design, product & tech Understand best practices for SEO Experience with digital visualisation tools for both editorial and social media purposes would be advantageous A ‘can do’ and flexible approach to work.   What’s in it for you?
