Job description In this role, you'll be working closely with the Senior Group Procurement Manager on all aspects of the procurement life cycle and leading on allocated sub-categories. To support the TS&W Group on all third-party engagements enhancing commercial and operational value to the business and its clients. Responsible for negotiating commercial deals with suppliers with the aim to reduce costs and improve service delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a fast-paced, dynamic procurement team and with a can-do attitude to see things through to completion. Actively manage supplier risk and performance to ensure continuity. The candidate will also be responsible for developing supplier relationships to ensure TS&W is at the forefront of innovation within all categories. Key Responsibilities Work as a Business Partner with key stakeholders across the Group Acting as the first point of contact for procurement queries, playing an integral part in building relationships and providing procurement advise Ensuring company-wide procurement requirements and contract management solutions for allocated categories are managed effectively Support the Senior Group Procurement Manager in high-value and complex projects Deputise for the Senior Group Procurement Manager, as necessary, in relevant meetings and working groups Manage your Procurement Pipeline and Tracker to see projects through to completion Manage contract repository Conduct commercial and contract negotiations and implement appropriate tactics to achieve favourable outcomes Owning the cradle-to-grave procurement process including ITT/RFPs, RFIs, RFQs Develop relationships with existing suppliers to reduce costs or provide an enhanced service whilst delivering innovation, sustainability, and benefit to the business Ensuring all procurement activities undertaken are aligned with internal Procurement Policy & Procedures Build strong relationships and collaborate with other teams such as Legal, Data Protection and Information Security to address and mitigate third-party risks Ensure all contracts meet Group policy, regulatory and industry standards Key Skills and Experience 5 years of experience within indirect procurement and ready to take the next step Experience in end-to-end strategic procurement across specialist categories such as: IT, Property or Marketing, generalists will also be considered Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, ideally having come from a Financial Services background, however other backgrounds will also be considered Excellent stakeholder management skills and a relationship-focused mentality Experienced in drafting and interpreting contracts and clauses Negotiation and Supplier Relationship Management experience Sound understanding of Procurement category management Creating and managing complex tender and benchmarking exercises Leveraging eSourcing platform (Curtis Fitch) to run, manage and report on tendering exercises Able to create appropriate commercial models to suit requirements in the category Strong knowledge of Microsoft MS Excel and other MS Office applications Commercial awareness and acute business acumen are essential Ability to analyse data to inform effective decision making Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills Self-motivated with high energy to drive for results and hit deadlines Have a dynamic approach to your work, being flexible, professional, and diligent under pressure Professional Qualifications and Education Strong academic record Ideally a 2.1 degree MCIPS Qualified or working towards the qualification Prince2/APM (desirable) Value Statement We value the differences that a diverse workforce adds to our company and promote representation across our society and clients.
