Are you ready for a new adventure in Social Care? Are you currently an experienced Support Worker or Senior Support Worker looking to join a new company? Join us as a Senior Support Worker at Lynford and The Marshes in Hailsham. You'll be working across 2 properties, both large bungalows, situated next door to each other. They each have their own garden areas to the rear of the property and a shared communal patio area to the front of the properties, which is regularly used for social activities. You will be supporting 12 adults with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), restricted mobility, sight impairment, hearing impairments, emotional needs, complex health needs and/ or epilepsy. Location: Hailsham, BN27 2PX Permanent: 37.5 hours per week. Salary: £10.00 per hour Additional Information: Driving licence is an advantage but not essential. Shifts are on a rota basis from 7.30am to 3pm and 2pm to 9.30pm, working 5 days a week, including working 3 out of 4 weekends and Bank Holidays. You will also be required to do 1 sleep in shift every 10 days. You will be working as part of a friendly team, supporting vulnerable adults with a range of physical, mental and learning disabilities. As a Senior Support Worker you will be expected to lead shifts and assist with coaching and inducting of new staff to the service. You will also be required to participate in the on call rota. You will write daily reports on activities, as well as devising and updating care plans and undertaking risk assessments for the people we support. You will play a vital part in providing the people we support with care and be able to profoundly improve their quality of life, assisting people who are unable to live independently by offering them the practical help they need, as well as emotional support.
