Job Description: Job Title:  Commercial Card Banking & Administration Analyst Corporate Title: Officer Location: Chester Role Description: International payment activities – all below processes utilise seven EMEA and four APAC currencies Distribution of Direct Debit mandates as requested & set up of incoming Direct Debit mandates using understanding of international Direct Debit schemes to determine the appropriate mandate to be distributed and process to follow when applying to accounts. Allocation of bulk payments to individual accounts. Investigate rejected payments in order to repair/reallocate payments to correct accounts, though use of banking system. Processing outgoing payments where customers request payments to be returned using knowledge of international payment schemes to determine the requirements for different currencies. Obtaining relevant information from the international Clearing schemes relating to unpaid Direct Debits and amending or cancelling Direct Debits based on details provided by receiving schemes and banks. Processing monetary adjustments on accounts including applying manual payments where bulk payments are made by clients or reversing rejected payments Dealing with ad-hoc requests relating to international payments raised by Dedicated Service Directors, Card Account Managers, Implementation managers or clients directly. Working directly with these internal teams to resolve more complex queries              including bulk maintenance of accounts on mainframe. Assisting with card and print production activities. Interfacing with the Commercial Card Reconciliation team regarding the reconciliation of General Ledger and Bank Accounts in relations to items that have been processed. Production of regular Management Information reports and providing ad-hoc reports to business partners in relation to specific clients. The Team: This position reports to the EMEA Commercial Card Operational Support Manager and is part of a team performing commercial card admin functions; The role is responsible performing all admin processes in relation to international corporate card payments in 11 currencies, including the performance of all Direct-Debit related activities. In order to fulfil these functions the associate will interface with the relevant internal stakeholders – Implementation Managers, Dedicated Service Directors or Card Account Managers - or with cardholders and clients directly. Core Skills: Understanding of international payment schemes – specifically those listed above. Able to demonstrate high level of accuracy while working with a large volume of tasks to tight deadlines. Analytical ability and systematic approach to examining information.  Organisational skills required to manage varied workload; Problem solving skills and strong numeracy. Good knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook. Strong communication skills to enable interaction with internal and external stakeholders. Experience of working in a control focused environment.   Ability to work as part of a team and achieve own targets.  Nice to have Experience working with back office functions such as Direct Debits, rejected payments, monetary adjustments. Previous experience working for a Commercial Card or Business Card product, especially using the T-Sys system Experience of working with Reconciliations of general ledger and bank accounts Advanced excel skills e.g. pivot tables, lookup formulas and Visual Basic Macros.
