Commercial Manager - £50,000 - £65,000 Bonus Hybrid working model with a central London office a couple of days a week. Our client are a market leader in the shipping technology industry and are looking for a forward thinking commercial contract manager to join their growing team working across both pre & post signature. The role: Identify the risks, liabilities and commitments of contractual agreements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates any potential impact. Structure and negotiate new business deals to gain best commercial advantage. Define and develop the correlation between the contractual terms, the pricing structure and the solution. Drafting of terms and conditions. Reviewing contract performance, assessing commercial risks and ensuring appropriate steps are taken to manage the risk Preventing and resolving contractual disputes Assuring adherence to Group Commercial Policy Responsible for contract clause reviews from commercial and legal perspective Support the client engagement teams in all commercial aspects, post contract signature, to achieve the orders, profit and cash budget and overall management of the Client relationship. Support the delivery streams who are responsible for the delivery of projects and provide clear direction working with the client engagement team and others for troubled projects Working with the contract delivery teams to ensure that contract change notices are raised and that leveraging change (additional charges, revisions to contractual obligation, etc.) becomes the norm. The person: Experience of structuring and negotiating deals. Experience of working in a post contract signature environment. Experience of working closely with finance, operations and technical specialists. Sector experience is not essential. Experience of negotiation with blue chip or large public-sector clients.
