Job Title: Branch Registered Manager/Area Ops ManagerLocation: Based in Milton KeynesPay: Scale £36,500 - £37,500Contract: PermanentHours: Full time, 37.5 hours per weekThis is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and growing provider, with a great reputation. You will be well supported in your role and have the opportunity to grow and develop both yourself and your patchWe are looking for Registered Managers to manage our Supported Living Branch in Milton Keynes.The role is accountable for providing leadership and operational management of supported living services and the leadership responsibility for your branch. You will also be participating in the delivery of the service which takes into account all of the day to day operational requirements, and also quality measurements and monitoring.Key Responsibilities of a Branch Registered Manager/Area Ops Manager:You will be registered with the CQC Registered Manager responsible for ensuring all CQC KLOE's are being met to a GOOD or OUTSTANDING rating.Other duties expected (but not limited to) are - recruitment, support planning, shift work, on call and emergencies, support plan implementation, referrals etc.Motivational and inspirational leadership for employees and teams to perform at their best creating a high-performance culture.Effective and timely delivery of multi services in pursuit of effective commercial contractual, safety and risk management.Driving up quality, achieving all CQC regulatory requirements and where any issues arise, develop, implement and complete appropriate remedial action plans.Ensuring that structures, processes, systems and procedures are co-ordinated, effective and efficient meeting business, commercial and clinical requirements to meet future business demands.Working in conjunction with other Area Managers, Regional Operations Directors and Support Functions to ensure that all activities undertaken are carried out effectively, ensuring a positive perception by the general public, people we support, carers, employees and purchasing authorities respectively.Implementing business plans and budgets to deliver agreed P&LRequirements:Previous experience of working with people who have Learning Disability/Mental Health and/or Physical Disabilities, and at least 3-5 years senior/managerial experience in the sector is a requirement.Experience in supported living, dealing with behaviours that challenge and complex care - sound knowledge of PBS, Active Support, Reablement principles.Experience in leading services that deliver high quality support and great person-centred practice outcomes.Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, Online systems - TBC)Exceptional communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonalExperience of developing strong relationships with the people we support, families, staff and others built on trust and respectA driving licence is a requirement.You must have Relevant professional qualification (NVQ Level 5 or equivalent essential, Level 7 desirable)Experience of managing budgets and budget controlAn understanding of and commitment to providing Equal Opportunities.Knowledge and first-hand experience of current Health & social Care legislation, including the Mental Capacity Act, Care Standards and Care Act 2014, safeguarding, DOLS/MCA and other regulatory frameworks.Demonstrable evidence of supporting people in a person centred way.A high level of literacy, numeracy and administrative skills together with well-developed communication skills both verbal and written as well the ability to communicate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams, both internally and externallyHave sound knowledge and understanding of the CQC Compliance standards and the desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.If successful, you will be responsible for the services on the CQC registration.
