Overview This role is offered on a permanent basis. The hours are full time 37.5 per week. We are looking for an experienced Band 6 to join our Core Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) teams. Within Core CAMHS we offer assessments and interventions for the children and young people who are accepted into our service. We pride ourselves on working within a strong multi-disciplinary team (MDT) including nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, creative therapists, psychologists and psychotherapists. Currently we are looking for a registered practitioner (mental health or LD nurse, OT, or social worker) to ensure we have a robust MDT. We are looking for someone who has clinical experience of working within a MDT and also supporting the wider network for the child and their family. CAMHS continue to deliver high quality specialist mental health services to children and young people up to their 18th birthday. We are a supportive, experienced and progressive multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to offer assessments for children, young people and families
Create formulations to aid an understanding of the child\'s needs
Utilise evidence based, goal focused and effective interventions which lead to a positive discharge from our service
We offer individual, family and group interventions which may be time limited or longer-term therapies according to need
The successful candidates will have the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to complete clinical assessments including sound clinical formulations and clinical risk assessments. You will be expected to demonstrate experience in providing evidence based mental health treatment interventions.
Key Elements Of The Job
Provide a range of specialist CAMHS assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people as well as their families/carers who present with emotional and mental health difficulties
Providing Care Coordinator responsibilities for a caseload of children and young people presenting with complex and high-risk mental health issues. There will be a specific focus upon providing specialist clinical assessment, formulation and treatment, including Self Harm assessments where the Voice of the Child is embedded within personalised care planning

Person Specification Essential
Experience: Significant clinical experience of delivering evidence based/best practice clinical interventions within CAMHS or related services and/or adult mental health settings
Experience of undertaking specialist Self Harm assessments of children and young people
Significant clinical experience of specialist care planning & case management/care coordination (including complex clinical risk assessment & management) within a mental health or learning disability setting
Desirable
Experience of providing clinical supervision
Post graduate training within a relevant CAMHS field or skill
Profession specific additional qualifications (e.g LD, nurse prescriber, DBT, CBT, AMHP, family therapy or systemic practice)
